I…I’m just so disappointed in you internets. I really, truly am. There are so many great, original comics out there that might not get funded on Kickstarter, but someone doing an internet meme mashup fancomic they don’t have the rights to use gets funded.

Why not go back the Hinges Kickstarter? Or this really cool looking comic called Violator Union? They both look great and could really use the money.

Let me start by saying that everyone has the right to disagree with paid photoshoots. I understand it is a touchy subject with some people. However, when somebody not only besmirches my character, but also threatens my livelihood that’s where I draw the line.

I am an Artist Alley attendee. I PAY the con to be able to sell my merchandise (MY SKILLS) to con attendees. I don’t get to just set up shop anywhere I please and sell my merchandise WITHOUT PAYING THE CON (like you’re doing.) What makes you a special snowflake who gets to make a profit off of a con’s attendees but not pay your dues? You are USING a convention to attract possible customers; the least you could do to repay the hard work the con and con staff do is to pay a small fee to them. The con has to PAY for booking the hotel, the con has to PAY for advertisement, the con has to PAY to book rooms for their staff and the con has to PAY to feed their staff.

Yet, here you are being a leech off all the hard work OTHER people put in to attract your customers. Take photos for free while your at the con, if people like your work, they can PAY you to set up a private shoot somewhere else later on when it’s not during or at the con.

^^^THISSS I’ve done the AA circuit. It’s part of the reason I DON’T charge for shoots I do at cons. I feel skeevy when there are other artists in the con who have to pay for the privilege of having all those customers in one place. I’m surprised more con’s don’t discourage this. It always kinda upset me as an artist that they were somehow exempt from paying their dues. Many of them make MUCH MORE off the con than many of the AA people do according to their rates and bookings and yet fly under the radar.

This reminds me, I wanna practice caricatures. Gimme $40 so I can hone my skillz.

Inspired by Anita Sarkeesian’s Video Game Tropes vs Women, I wanted to pitch a Zelda game where Zelda herself was the hero, rescuing a Prince Link.

Clockwork Empire is set 2,000 years after Twilight Princess, and is not a reboot, but simply another iteration in the Zelda franchise. It just so happens that in this case, Zelda is the protagonist. I’m a very big Zelda fan, and worked hard to draw from key elements in the continuity and mythos.

This concept work is meant to show that Zelda as a game protagonist can be both compelling and true to the franchise, while bringing new and dynamic game elements that go farther than being a simple gender swap.

EA Responds To Being Named ‘The Worst Company in America’

In a recent poll on Consumerist.com, it was decided that Electronic Arts was the worst company in America. This is the second year in a row that EA has taken the top prize. In response, EA’s COO Peter Moore has released this statement.
